Perpetuities and accumulations – jurisdictional problems

Following the introduction of the Perpetuities and Accumulations Act 2009 in 2010 the law of perpetuities and accumulations in England and Wales is clear. However, the rules are different in both Northern Ireland and in Scotland, and difficulties persist as the pace of reform of trust law in those jurisdictions is different.
