It should not be forgotten that middle income families as well as low income families can claim tax credits. Today's annual TaxAction report from IFA Promotion suggests 10 top tips for end of tax year planning. Tip number 1 reads: 'If you are eligible: Claim your tax credits - £2.9 billion of ‘free money' is up for grabs from HMRC and the DWP, in the form of Pension Credits, Child Tax Credits and Working Family Tax credits.'
